It was a splendid build up to this years grand finale of the AMVCAs as African stars from all over brought their A game to play on the various red carpet to the pre-party, the main event and of course to the after-party.
The nominee's brunch kicked off the celebration with the unveiling of the various partners of this years event. The nominees were treated to a great brunch with hair treatment to photo sessions, spar and lots more. The star stunned the red carpet in grand style with the likes of Wale and Wole Ojo topping the list and of course the ever gorgeous Linda Ejiofor and miss Vimbai of Star Gist showing class.
Then it was the Nominee's pre-event party, this was a major outing by all nominee and they sure turned up in style, the red carpet had loads of all kinds of fashion house styling the nominees, Uti Nwanchukwu in his all white suite, Gideon Okeke, Joycelyn Dumas, Julius Agu and the ever gorgeous Yvone of the Hotel Majestic telenovela made the night colourful and one to remember.
Then it was the event proper but then just before it kicked off was the cocktail where stars get to mingle and connect with the red carpet afterwards experiencing once again what is regarded as the best fashion display of the year. The stars didn't disappoint in anyway this year but one major talking point linger more and that was INI Edo's controversial wear that got a lot of fashionista talking! I leave that to your opinions and sure you had a handful of those from media houses.
The grand finale was the clinching of the award by the nominees and as expected, October 1st didn't disappoint giving the support it had and hype by various media platforms. Andrew Ohio Ohiorenoya was a good competition for the Hausa category and in his words, er hope to see more Hausa block buster this year and give the other Hausa producers a reason to improve on the quality of their production. Rita Dominic's movie The Meeting came to the party as well as AY's 30 Days in Atlanta which has broken the record of a block buster sales of 76 million naira sales in a shirt while. Stanley Ohirekua Verdict proved its worth in excellent cinematography which even October 1st couldn't handle.
